A journey to discover the flora and fauna of Mount Baldo, surrounded by stunning views
Meeting point: Prada-Costabella
Prada-Costabella round trip. A day entirely dedicated to Mount Baldo, the botanical garden of Europe, exploring unique species of flora and fauna that characterize this incredible landscape. Covering an elevation gain of over 800 meters, we will traverse a variety of unique vegetation, encountering along the way precious orchids, historic monumental beeches, and high alpine pastures and, ccompanied by a bit of luck, hear the whistles of marmots or the flapping wings of a golden eagle.Upon reaching the summit, we will enjoy a spectacular view spanning the Adige Valley on one side and Lake Garda on the other, with a panorama that outlines the lake's perimeter all the way to the Sirmione peninsula.

MEETING POINT: Prada-Costabella
ROUTE: the walk covers a total distance of 8 km (round trip) with an elevation gain of about 650 meters up and 250 meters down
DURATION: all day, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

PRICE: € 45 per person, including guided tour with natural, historical, and cultural insights by a professional AIGAE guide with liability insurance.
Along the route, there are two cable car segments. The two tickets are not included and must be purchased on-site: € 7 for the ascent and € 9 for the descent.
The price does not include:
- Cable car
- Parking fees at the starting point (to be paid on site)
- Any refreshments at the refuges
PAYMENT: online via PayPal system or by cash at the meeting point
AGE: suitable for adults and teenagers aged 12 and up who are used to walking
WHAT TO BRING:
- Mandatory hiking shoes with good soles, hiking poles are recommended (if you are used to using them)
- Layered clothing suitable for the season at high altitude, wind and rain protection
- Drinks (at least 1 liter), snacks, packed lunch
CANCELLATION: The event will be canceled in case of bad weather or if the minimum number of 6 participants is not reached. In these cases, participants will be notified directly.
GOOD TO KNOW: The route includes forest roads and hiking trails (including single trails) with a decent gradient both uphill and downhill, but without any particular technical difficulties.
